Energy medicine

Energy medicine encompasses a broad range of therapies such as homoeopathy, flower, gem and shell essences, magnet therapy, Reiki, Pranic healing, crystals, and many more. Although these therapies are very diverse, the guiding philosophy remains that same, that at the basic level we are all energy and that illness often begins on the energetic level and is then manifested on the physical level as disease if that energy is not cleared or harmonized with the individuals unique resonance.

The yogic sciences have shown us an energy map of the body, the seven layers of the auric field and the 7 chakras or energy centres. This field of energy which exists beyond but also through out our physical body is the holographic template for our physical body. This field exists while you are developing in the womb and guides the movement and development of cells into the shape we recognise as the human body. This energy field can be measured using kirlian photography, and we can be trained to feel, see or affect this electromagnetic field. This is what Reilki and Pranic healers do. They can feel or see what is happening on an energetic levels and then clear, harmonise or focus energy to help the individual resonant healthily.

This aspect of natural medicine has fallen in to the field of very alternative as far as western medicine and science is concerned mainly due to the fact that it is not seen by the eye and may be difficult to measure. However more and more evidence is coming to light supporting the proposition that we are all made of energy and that we can use energy therapies to improve our physical health. For example quantum physics tells us that at the basic subatomic level we are 99.9% space and when we observe that physical matter it only appears to be solid when we look at it, when we look away it is a wave of energy.

Homoeopathy is based on the observation that substances (herbs, minerals, etc) that caused certain symptoms in healthy people can be used to treat those same symptoms in sick people. In fact those substances become more effective and less toxic at very low doses, so low that none of the original substance is present in the medicine. This is where science refuses to accept the therapeutic benefit of something that contains only water and alcohol as any more than placebo.

However it is the water itself that is the key as we can now show that as a homeopathic medicine is prepared (being diluted and then succussed or shaken many times) the water molecule actually changes – the bonds between the two hydrogen’s and the oxygen change angle. It is this change that indicates that the water has taken on the vibrational energy of the substance and it is this vibration that when taken by the patient affects their vital force or energy to help harmonise their resonance frequency.

A meta-analysis of 25 years of clinical studies using homeopathic medicines was published in the British Medical Journal which showed that 81 of 107 studies were effective.

Energy medicine is basically very safe, non toxic and effective, working in harmony with the body’s vitality and inherent desire to heal itself.
