Health Creation
What creates health?
- in the 21 century a healthy life takes more than just a good diet
- an active lifestyle
- a positive attitude
- a clean and safe environment
What undermines health?
- Under-nutrition: poor cooking, storage, old food, refined and processed foods, dietary excess fat, salt, sugar, overeating
- Water and food contaminants: pesticides, heavy metals
- Environmental pollution and chemicals
- Radiation: microwaves, mobiles, computers, phone towers
- Drugs: pharmaceutical and recreational, tea, coffee
- Stress; mental and physical
- Sedentary lifestyle
Survival in the 21 century
- food: organic, fresh, whole food, lightly cooked
- lots of veg and fruit, in season
- fresh juices: vitamins and enzymes
- enzymes are catalysts for chemical changes, building and breaking down cells and cell products. Enzymes are important for digestion and many other functions in the body, helpful for allergies and poorly tolerated foods.
Enzymes will help chronic conditions
Clean pure water 8 glasses a day
Contaminants of water:
Nitrites from fertilisers can from nitrosamines, powerful carcinogens
Pesticides and industry effluent: effects on animal and human reproductive systems
Sodium fluoride: may influence cancer, genetic mutations, long term effects on the immune system and enzyme production, bone and teeth damage. Toxic effects are cumulative, its used as an insecticide for insects and cockroaches by inhibiting enzymes that produce energy. The same rate of improvement in tooth decay has been seen in fluoridated and non fluoridated water areas.
Chlorine is an antibacterial additive but does not kill giardia, cryptosporidium or the hepatitis or polio virus. Chlorine effectively destroys vitamins E, C, A and selenium in the body, linked to cancer, CFS, asthma. A report published in the Australian Journal of Public Health in 1995 confirmed a link between chlorinated tap water and 10-15% of bladder cancers each year.
Aluminium binds soil particles, clarifying water. Linked to Alzheimer’s, cancer, downs syndrome and muscular dystrophy. Dissolved aluminium is the most toxic and bio-available form for humans.
Rain water dissolves radioactive isotopes and exhaust fumes from polluted air.
Regular exercise 1/2 hour to hour minimum 3 times a week
To improve:
- circulation
- energy and motivation
- cardiovascular health
- weight management
A health promoting attitude
Positivity, open-mindedness, generosity, spiritual connection, forgiveness, challenges create accelerated learning experiences.
Supplement you diet with extra anti-oxidants, essential minerals and fatty acids
Why?: poor nutrient content in food due to depleted soils, long storage, over cooking, poor digestion habits, extra nutrition is required to combat chemicals, pollution or air water and food, drugs and stress
What makes a good supplement?
- synergistic antioxidants, (those that work together)
- non competitive minerals (iron, zinc)
- bio-available form,
- extracted from natural materials,
- guarantee it is what is says on the label
