Menu Suggestions

Breakfast: porridge - raw museli - fruit salad - eggs (runny yolks) - soya milk - natural yogurt - grapefruit -ground linseed, sunflower, almond, pumpkin, sesame seeds

Lunch: hommus - fresh ground peanut butter - tuna, salmon, mackerel, herring - salads - whupper bread - wholemeal muffins - rice cracker, Ryevitas - avocado - tahini

Dinner: soups, broths and purees - steamed vegetables - brown rice - legumes - loaves, pies, curries, patties - organic beef, stews, curry, stir fry - organic chicken and eggs - whole grain pasta, corn/rice pasta - salads (bitter greens)

Snacks: mixed nuts and seeds - fruit - raw vegetables - wholemeal muffins

Drinks: lots of water - herbal teas: St Marys thistle, chamomile, licorice, rosehips, ginger, lemon

Juices: beet root, carrot, ginger and apple

Super Smoothie: soya milk, natural yogurt, lethicin, psyllium, coconut, slippery elm, molasses

Little or no salicylate content foods

Fruit: Golden delicious apples, Letona apricot nectar, banana, packham pears (without skin) Kelsey green plums, pomegranete, tamarillo, pawpaw

Vegetables: bamboo shoots, blackeyed beans, borlotti beans, brown beans, lima beans, lima beans, mung beans, soya beans, soya grits, bean sprouts, brussel sprouts, cabbage (green and red), peas, chickpeas, green and yellow split peas, celery, chives, choki, horseradish, leek, lettuce, lentils (brown and red) ppotato peeled, shallots, swede, tomato juice (Goulburn Valley)

Cerials: arrowroot, barley (unpearled) buckwheat, millet, oats, rice, rye

Nuts and Seeds: cashew nuts, poppy seeds

Low Salicylate content

Fruit: Red delicious apples, apple juice (Mountain maid) custard apples, figs, grape juice (Sanitarian light) grapefruit juice (Berri), kiwi fruit, lmons, loquat, lychee (canned), mango, nectarine, orange juice (Berri) passionfruit, persimmon, pineapple juice (Golden Circle) plum (blood red) rhubarb, watermelon

Vegetables: asparagaus, frnch beans, beetroot (Golden Circle) carrot, cauliflower, eggplant (peeled) marrow, mushrooms, olives (black) onion, parsnip, pumpkin, spinach, swetcorn, sweet potato, tomato, tomatoe juice  (Heinz), tomato paste (Tom Piper), tomato soup (PMU), turnip

Cerials: maize

Nuts and Seeds: brazil nuts, cocnut, hazelnuts, macadamia, peanut butter (sanitarian), pecan nuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts

Medium Salicylate content

Fruit: Granny smith apples, Ardmona apples, avocado, figs (calamata, dried) cherry grapes, grape juice (dark Berri), grapefruit, mandarin, mulberry, peach, tangelo

Vegetables: alfalfa, broad beans, broccoli, egg plant, okra, peppers, (green chilli and yellow green), spinach, baby squash, tomatoe paste (Campbells), tomato soup (Heinz, Kia-Ora), tomato sauce (Fountain, PMU), watercress

Nuts and Seeds: pine nuts, pistachios

High Salicylate content

Fruit: Apricot, blackcurrent, blueberry, boysenberry, cranberry, currents (dried), date, guava, loganberry, orange, pineapple, plum (SPC, dark red), prunes, raspberries, redcurrent, rockmelon, strawberry, sultana, youngberry

Vegetables: chicory, cucumber, (gerkins), endive, champignions, green olives, red chilli peppers, green capsicum, radish, tomato paste (Leggos) tomato sause (Heinz, IXL, Rosella), zuchinni

Nuts and Seeds: almonds, peanuts, water chestnuts (canned)
